Qualifications

In accordance with the Group Coverage Qualification Standards for Clerical and Administrative Support positions http://www.opm.gov/qualifications/Standards/group-stds/gs-cler.asp, applicants applying at the GS-07 grade level must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-06 grade level (or equivalent) by the closing date of this announcement. Specialized experience may not be substituted for education at this grade level.

Examples of specialized experience include:

  • Plan, assign and evaluate work of employees.

  • Knowledgeable about multiple departments within a grocery store in order to evaluate work, provide instruction and conduct on the job training for workers.

  • Carry out daily retail grocery store functions necessary to successfully execute store operations.

Volunteer Experience: Your Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service program (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
